Maybe money can go where reason can’t.

Oregon resorts to a lottery. Lord have mercy. I’m getting more and more curmudgeonly as I get older, and I realize that there’s no cure for stupid. I was at my cigar shop the other day and overheard the most idiotic conversation of the Pandemic: 

The virus was designed on purpose. The pharma people did it to sell vaccines. The Left is going to ban meat at forcefeed a vegetarian diet, and track everyone, and take their jobs away and force people onto welfare where they can then control them completely. And the inevitable “I’ve been researching this and I found that the simplest explanation is always the right explanation.” 

Fucking-A. 

Unfortunately these people (and friends, alas) walk among us, oblivious to the fruits of observation and reason. Perhaps a lottery will pierce the veil reason can’t penetrate.
